One man's trash

I had a laugh to myself the other day at the name of a new bar that's opened in Preston called 'Hard Rubbish' - it's definitely attention-grabbing!  It got a write up in The Age Good Food so think it would be worth a visit if you're out that way and into jaffles and craft beer.

It's nice to see the sun out today after a pretty dreary day yesterday although it was a perfect day to take the kids to the Arts Centre to see 'The 52 Storey Treehouse'.  It was the ideal indoor activity and that whole corridor near the Concert Hall and NGV was buzzing with people out and about.  Little kids (5 - 7 year olds) in particular are catered for at the Arts Centre and I think 'Snugglepot and Cuddlepie' being held in September will also be a great stage production to see.

There are a number of different events on this weekend including The Fashion Market at Queen Victoria Market and the Sisters Market in Brunswick on Saturday, while on Sunday, the Bike & Life Festival is also being held in Brunswick, at Barkly Square.

Closer to home, the Melbourne Didgeridoo and Cultural Festival (or Didge Festival) at Wombat Bend in Templestowe is being held on Saturday 9 April.  Banyule City Council is also holding a free sensory friendly film (Zootopia at Hoyts Greensborough) tailored to families on the Autism Spectrum.  It was World Autism Day last Sunday and a couple of our friends have children who are on the spectrum so it's lovely to see them being included.

I will have a new local profile up on Miss Rosanna tomorrow - stay tuned!
