What a wet and wintry weekend that's just been and gone!  Mr Rosanna and I actually ventured out to Montmorency on Saturday with the boys as The 2nd hand Shop was closing down (the owners are moving to Creswick but will still sell online) and we are on the hunt for some retro wooden shelves for the music studio Mr Rosanna is finally setting up.  There wasn't much left by the time we got there but we did pick up a couple of small pieces.

It was absolutely freezing down Were Street and I stopped in briefly at Only Just to look at their gorgeous fair trade wares and toys (which you can also buy online).  There is a vacant building being renovated next door to Only Just near the corner of Binns & Were Streets which has a fantastic huge arched shaped window (just like in Play School!) and doors leading out to the back of the building and I am curious to know what's going to go in there - it looks exciting.  Both Espresso 3094 and The Were Street Food Store were jam packed so we jumped into the car and headed to the Brougham Street Bazaar (next to The Light Factory Gallery) in Eltham which also has a big shed in the adjoining industrial block on the left hand side.

Again, no luck with finding some shelves but Mr Rosanna and I found some Le Creuset cookware at bargain basement prices, an Art Deco salt container and a full set of flying ceramic ducks from the 1950s (Japanese not Beswick) in perfect condition which are now taking pride of place above the fire place in our living room where we sought refuge most of the weekend.  Hope you had a good one!
