Still Reflections

'Still' is the name of emerging local artist Mark Roberts' latest exhibition at The Light Factory Gallery in Eltham and his arresting figurative work and distinctive portraits look pretty amazing - the portraits in particular have a touch of the Dutch Old Masters about them.

Accompanying Roberts is Greensborough artist Louis Jetten - a Dutch Australian painter whose colourful 'Reflections' exhibition spans a number of decades with works including paintings in acrylic and gouache on paper.  The official opening is this Sunday 4 November from 2 - 4 pm with both exhibitions running until Sunday 25 November.  Entry is free.
Currently on at Bundoora Homestead Art Centre is Cloudy Sensoria exploring the intangible forms of sensation and featuring the work of Chris Cottrell, Georgina Cue, Jason Parmington, Malte Wagenfeld and Cara-Ann Simpson (who has previously been featured as a local profile).  Cara-Ann Simpson has also co-curated this exhibition with Malte Wagenfeld, which runs until Sunday 2 December.  Entry is free
Finally, there's a call to artists for Pimp my MUF 4 (sounds quite rude!) - an exhibition of custom painted ukeleles for next year's Melbourne Ukelele Festival being held 1 - 3 March in Northcote.  For entry details you can contact local artist Jacqueline Gwynne (who was also featured more recently as a local profile) at jackie.gwynne@gmail.com
