Tea and typography

I've mentioned my love of tea before.  I also have a love of typography.  Hey and guess what?  I can indulge both these loves at the Bundoora Homestead Art Centre this weekend.

The Bundoora Tea Party is on from 2 - 5 pm this Sunday 18 March to celebrate the launch of the centre's annual Teacosy Festival which is held in May.  About Time: Australian Studio Tapestry is currently showing in the main gallery (I love the Sunbather tapestry by Marie Cook below which looks a little Art Deco-inspired) while Typotany: an alphabet of Australian Native Plants is showing in the Access gallery and finishes on Sunday.

While we're on the subject of typography, I also love this book called Characters by Stephen Banham based on some of Melbourne's more famous typography - another one to add to the wish list!

    1. Don't they? We would be going except we're triple booked this weekend - maybe we could meet you and Caroline one weekend for a play. Think the homestead is near Bundoora Park and Coopers Settlement which I've also heard is great for kids parties (they have an animal farm as well).

BTW - there's a new playground about to open in Warringal Park Heidelberg that will be pretty ace - similar to Wombat Bend in Templestowe by the looks of things.
