Festivals galore's officially the last day of Summer (and a leap day ladies!) and the festival season is just about upon us.  Sadly, tickets to Warrandyte World's Longest Lunch (as part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival) this Friday have already sold out however I think there may still be tickets to the Hurstbridge Farmers' Market Picnic being held on Sunday at Ferguson's Paddock in Hurstbridge.  Tickets are $35 for a savoury platter and $25 for a dessert/sweets platter.

Mr Rosanna and I have taken the train out to Hurstbridge before with the boys.  If you do go, it's worth stopping in for a coffee at Bridges Restaurant (which was also commended by The Coffee Army).  There's also an interesting jewellery, textiles and art shop called Oku Den which I've popped into before and found very difficult not to buy anything!  Hurstbridge is a lovely place to visit and I can understand those wanting a rural life and more peaceful existence moving there.
