Some Christmas culture

Miss Rosanna has been out and about the past few days.  Met up with the Banyule Arts and Culture team for Christmas drinks and nibbles at the Banyule Arts Space last night.  Duality - the 2011 Banyule Award for Works on Paper finishes today and the People's Choice Award will soon be unveiled.

For those of you thinking of popping into the Ivanhoe Makers Market like me this Saturday, please remember it's now moved to The Livingstone Community Centre around the corner at 1 Livingstone St.  Stay tuned too for news about another design market which may be coming to Banyule in the not too distant future.

Took the boys to Wombat Bend in Templestowe for a play today and it was surprisingly quiet so to their delight, we had the flying fox and roundabout swing all to ourselves.  They loved it, the last time we were there it was busier than Bourke Street.  Uncle Matt came with us so we stopped in at Cafe Vue at Heide for a very quick lunch in the courtyard on the way back home.

I didn't go into the Heide store but I'm pleased to say all their beautiful wares will soon be available online.  They've divided their products into Heide library (books), Heide gifts, Heide living (homewares), Heide stationery, Heide garden (eco-friendly/outdoors) and Heide kids and it's also one of my favourite local places to pick up unique gifts with a difference.

  1. Hi Miss Rosanna, terrific to talk to you again last night at the Bayule Arts Space! It was a relaxing lead into the week. Thanks also for the encouragement you gave me about blogging. This blog of yours is wonderful and I will be sure to tell all my friends about it. Keep up the good work and maybe see you at future Banyule Arts & Cultural events. Cheers Sam
